23 But YHWH was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and favored them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them and he didn’t cast them from his presence as yet.

YHWH said, “My Spirit will not strive with humans forever, because they are flesh; so their days will be one hundred twenty years.”


Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and for his supplication, YHWH my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer that your servant is praying before you today,


Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his place.


Jehoahaz begged YHWH, and YHWH listened to him; for he saw the oppression of Israel, how the king of Syria oppressed them.


For YHWH saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter for all, slave and free; and there was no helper for Israel.


YHWH didn’t say that he would blot out the name of Israel from under the sky; but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Jehoash.


Therefore YHWH was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight. There was none left but the tribe of Judah only.


YHWH rejected all the offspring of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hands of raiders, until he had cast them out of his sight.


until YHWH removed Israel out of his sight, as he said by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria to this day.


For through the anger of YHWH, this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Then Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.


Hᴇ has remembered ʜɪꜱ covenant forever, the word which ʜᴇ commanded to a thousand generations,


the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,


Hᴇ remembered for them ʜɪꜱ covenant, and repented according to the multitude of ʜɪꜱ lovingkindnesses.


Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.


But ʜᴇ, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn’t destroy them. Yes, many times ʜᴇ turned ʜɪꜱ anger away, and didn’t stir up all ʜɪꜱ wrath.


But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.


He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of YHWH before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”


It will happen that after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.


For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.


then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.


Then he will say to those on the left, ‘Depart from me, y’all who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;


For YHWH will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, that there is no one remaining, shut up or left at large.


They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,


They put away the foreign gods from among them and served YHWH; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
