Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, with cedar trees, carpenters, and masons; and they built David a house.

They burn to YHWH every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense. They also set the show bread in order on the pure table, and care for the gold lamp stand with its lamps, to burn every evening. For we observe the instruction of YHWH our God, but y’all have forsaken him.


When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, from which were made vessels for the house of YHWH, even vessels with which to minister and to offer, including spoons and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of YHWH continually all the days of Jehoiada.


Solomon made all the vessels that were in God’s house: the golden altar, the tables with the show bread on them,


even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times per year, during the feast of unleavened bread, during the feast of weeks, and during the feast of booths.


In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king made a decree: Concerning God’s house at Jerusalem, let the house be built, the place where they offer sacrifices, and let its foundations be strongly laid, with its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits;


We, the priests, the Levites, and the people, cast lots for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers’ houses, at times appointed year by year, to burn on YHWH our God’s altar, as it is written in the law;


You are to set bread of the presence on the table before me always.


“Now this is that which you are to offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day continually.


The one lamb you are to offer in the morning, and the other lamb in the evening,


The other lamb you are to offer at evening, doing to it according to the meal offering of the morning and according to its drink offering, for a pleasant aroma, a food offering for YHWH.


Aaron is to burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he will burn it.


“You are to speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘These are the appointed feasts of YHWH, which y’all are to proclaim to be holy assemblies.


He presented the grain offering, and filled his hand from there, and burned it upon the altar, in addition to the burnt offering of the morning.


“‘At the beginning of every month, y’all are to present a burnt offering to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect,


“‘On the Sabbath day, you are to offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering:
