God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have you asked for riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice.


although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.


Lift up y’all’s hands in the sanctuary. Y’all bless YHWH!


Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.


The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up their soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.


I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, YHWH,


Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

When y’all spread out y’all’s palms, I will hide my eyes from y’all. When y’all increase y’all’s prayers, I will hear nothing. Y’all’s hands are full of blood.

Yet I wish that all humans were as I am. However, each person has their own gift from God, one has this, another that.


But thanks be to God who always leads us in Christ’s triumphal procession and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place.


Now I want y’all to know, siblings, that what has happened to me actually advanced the gospel.


For the word of the Lord has reverberated out from y’all, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your* faith in God has spread everywhere. We don’t even need to say anything,


Therefore I want younger widows to marry, bear children, keep the household, and give the adversary no occasion for reproach.


This is a trustworthy statement, and I want you to strongly affirm these things, so that those who have believed God may be careful to devote themselves to excellent works. These things are excellent and profitable for all humanity.


let’s draw near with a sincere heart in the full assurance that comes from faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water.


Y’all draw near to God, and ʜᴇ will draw near to y’all. Cleanse your* hands, y’all sinners, and purify your* hearts, y’all double-minded.


Husbands, in the same way, y’all should dwell together with y’all’s wives in an understanding way, showing them honor as a weaker vessel and as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
