In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:


Y’all must not trust in oppression. Y’all must not vainly hope in robbery. If riches increase, y’all must not set your heart on them.


Set y’all’s mind on the things above, not on earthly things.


Saul said to his uncle, “He told-told us that the donkeys were found.” But he did not tell him what Samuel said about the matter of the kingdom.


Now therefore see the king whom y’all have chosen and whom y’all have asked for. Look, YHWH has placed a king over y’all.


But if y’all will not listen to YHWH’s voice, but rebel against the commandment of YHWH, then YHWH’s hand will be against y’all, as it was against y’all’s ancestors.


About the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, “Don’t be afraid, for you have given birth to a son.” But she didn’t answer, neither did she regard it.


But the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us,


They said to him, “See, you are old, and your sons don’t walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”


Samuel answered Saul and said, “I am the seer. Go up before me to the high place, for y’all are to eat with me today. In the morning I will let you go and will tell you all that is in your heart.


The donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. Kish said to Saul his son, “Now take one of the servants with you, and arise, go look for the donkeys.”
