As YHWH your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation that they didn’t find you.


He said, “Y’all go and see where he is, so that I may send men to take him.” He was told, “He is in Dothan.”


He lies in wait near the villages. In hidden places, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.
