But remember me when it is well with you. Please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.


But the king spared Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of YHWH’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.


You must not only show me the lovingkindness of YHWH while I still live, that I not die;


Concerning the matter which you and I have spoken of, YHWH is a witness is between you and me forever.”


Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, because we have both sworn in the name of YHWH, saying, ‘YHWH is between me and you, and between my offspring and your offspring, forever.’” Then David got up and departed, and Jonathan went into the city.


Swear now therefore to me by YHWH that you will not cut off my offspring after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father’s house.”
