It may be YHWH your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which YHWH your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”


He also wrote letters insulting YHWH, the God of Israel, and speaking against him, saying, “As the gods of the nations of the lands, which have not delivered their people out of my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver his people out of my hand.”


Then I said, “What y’all are doing is not good. Shouldn’t y’all walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?


You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.


Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, YHWH. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.


Pay back to our neighbors seven times into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.


Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.


But YHWH is the true God. Hᴇ is the living God, and an everlasting King. At ʜɪꜱ wrath, the earth trembles. The nations cannot endure ʜɪꜱ fury.


“Look, the days come,” says YHWH, “that I will punish all those who are circumcised only in their flesh:


Egypt, Judah, Edom, the children of Ammon, Moab, and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness, for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”


You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken it,” says Lord YHWH.’”


but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which don’t see, or hear, or know; and you have not glorified the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways.


He delivers and rescues. He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.”


Lord, according to all your righteousness, please let your anger and your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.


YHWH answered ʜɪꜱ people, “Look, I will send y’all grain, new wine, and oil, and y’all will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make y’all a reproach among the nations.


For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?


for the people themselves are reporting what kind of reception we had with y’all, and how y’all turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,


Joshua said, “By this y’all will know that the living God is among y’all, and that ʜᴇ will drive-drive out before y’all the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.


We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding so that we know ʜɪᴍ who is true. And we are in ʜɪᴍ who is true, in ʜɪꜱ Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.


Nahash the Ammonite said to them, “I will make one with y’all on this condition: that I gouge out each of y’all’s right eyes, and so bring dishonor on all Israel.”


Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come! Let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that YHWH will work for us, for there is no restraint on YHWH to save by many or by few.”


The Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel today! Y’all give me a man so we may fight together!”


He turned away from him toward another, and said the same thing. And the people answered him again the same way.


Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear. This uncircumcised Philistine will like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.”


Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through and abuse me!” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.
