YHWH didn’t say that he would blot out the name of Israel from under the sky; but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Jehoash.


They stood in the middle of the plot, defended it, and killed the Philistines; and YHWH saved them by a great victory.


Thus YHWH saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.


Thus YHWH saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.


But I will show love to the house of Judah, and will save them by YHWH their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”


for YHWH y’all’s God goes with y’all, to fight for y’all against y’all’s enemies, to delivery y’all.”


Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Y’all go up and spy out the land.” The men went up and spied out Ai.


When YHWH raised up judges for them, then YHWH was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved YHWH because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.


But y’all have today rejected your* God, who ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ saves y’all out of all your* calamities and distresses. But y’all have said to him, ‘No! Set a king over us!’ Now therefore present yourselves before YHWH by y’all’s tribes and by clans.”


The Philistines assembled themselves together to fight with Israel: thirty thousand chariots, six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the seashore in multitude. They came up and encamped in Michmash, eastward of Beth Aven.


“Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you are to anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He will save my people out of the hand of the Philistines. I have looked on my people, for their cry has come to me.”
