David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her. She bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. YHWH loved him;


A messenger came to David, saying, “The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom.”


Absalom did this sort of thing to all Israel who came to the king for judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.


Hushai said to Absalom, “No! But whomever YHWH and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen, I will be his, and I will stay with him.


his second, Chileab, by Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king.” So he prepared chariots, horsemen, and fifty men to run ahead of him.


He said moreover, I have something to tell you.” She said, “Speak.”


Now I ask one petition of you. Don’t refuse me.” She said to him, “Speak.”


King Solomon answered his mother, “Why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Since he is my elder brother, you should ask the kingdom for him also, and for Abiathar the priest and Joab the son of Zeruiah.”


There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against YHWH.
