Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I am worn out, will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”


He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood near him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,


Judah said, “What will we tell my lord? What will we speak? How will we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. We are now slaves to my lord, both we and he also in whose hand the cup is found.”


We said to my lord, ‘We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one. His brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him.’


Now therefore, please let your servant stay instead of the boy, my lord’s slave. Let the boy go up with his brothers.


His brothers also went and fell down before his face, saying, “Here we are, we are your servants.”


A ferry boat went to bring over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king when he had come over the Jordan.


At that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the way. Now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and the two of them were alone in the field.


So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it. Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.


He answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your lord, ‘Elijah is here!’”


The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you City of YHWH, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.


Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.


But what did y’all go out to see? A human in soft clothing? Look, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.


Now John himself wore clothing made of camel hair and a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.


As soon as the boy was gone, David arose out of the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times. They kissed one another and wept with one another, and David wept the most.
