So he sent his brothers away, and they departed. He said to them, “Y’all don’t quarrel on the way!”


Abner said to David, “I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your soul desires.” David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.


The sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh’s house; and Genubath was in Pharaoh’s house among the sons of Pharaoh.


Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that you want to go to your own country?” He answered, “Nothing, but please let me leave-leave.”


David slept with his fathers, and was buried in David’s city.


Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and fell on him, and killed him; and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.


YHWH said to Moses in Midian, “You must go and return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”


“Get up, take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”


She said, “Let it be as y’all have said.” She sent them away, and they departed. Then she tied the scarlet cord in the window.


They arose early; and about daybreak, Samuel called to Saul on the housetop, saying, “Get up, that I may send you away.” Saul arose, and they both went outside, he and Samuel, together.
