¶ Moses descibeth the righteousness which cometh of the law, how that the man which doth the things of the law shall live therein.


Because the law causeth wrath. For where no law is, there is no transgression.


I once lived without law: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I was dead.


¶ If the ministration of death thorow the letters figured in stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not behold the face of Moses for the glory of countenance (which glory nevertheless is done away)


The law is not of faith: but the man that fulfilleth the things contained in the law, shall live in them.
