Romans 10:2

They shall excommunicate you: yee the time shall come, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth God true service.


When they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him: Thou seest brother, how many thousand jewes there are which believe, and they are all zealous over the law.


Men of Israhell help. This is the man that teacheth all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. Moreover also he hath brought greeks into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.


¶ They gave him audience unto this word, and lifted up their voices and said: away with such a fellow from the earth: it is pity that he should live.


And he said: I am verily a man which am a iewe, born in Tharsus, a city in Cicill, nevertheless yet brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, and informed diligently in the law of the fathers, and was fervent minded to Godward, as ye all are this same day,


¶ Brethren my heart's desire, and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.


For they are ignorant of the righteousness which is allowed before God, and go about to establish their own righteousness and therefore are not obedient unto the righteousness which is of value before God.


in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest should shine unto them the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, which is the image of God,


For it is God that commanded the light to shine out of darkness, which hath shined in our hearts, for to give the light of knowledge of the glorious God, in the face of Iesus Christ.


For to their powers (I bear them record) yee and beyond their power, they were willing of their own accord,


and prevailed in the jewes' law, above many of my companions, which were of mine own nation, and was a much more fervently maintained the traditions of the elders.


How happy were ye then? for I bear you record that if it had been possible, ye would have digged out your own eyes, and have given them to me.


And this I pray, that your love may increase more and more in knowledge, and in all fealing,


and as concerning ferventness I persecuted the congregation, and as touching the righteousness which is in the law I was such a one as no man could complain on.


I bear him record that he hath a fervent mind toward you, and toward them of Laodicia and them of Hierapolis.
