But whosoever exalteth himself, shall be brought low. And he that submiteth himself, shall be exalted.


He hath put Down the mighty from their seats, and hath exalted them of low degree.


For whosoever exalteth himself, shall be brought low. And he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


I tell you: this man departed home to his house justified more than the other. For every man that exalteth himself, shall be brought low: And he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


¶ For when we were yet weak according to the time: Christ died for us which were ungodly.


Other shall we provoke the Lord? other are we stronger then he?


which gave himself a ransom for all men, that it should be preached at his time,


which preaching is committed unto me, by the commandment of God our saviour.


Cast down yourselves before the Lord, and he shall lift you up.


¶ Submit yourselves to God, and resist the devil, and he will flye from you.


Take (my brethren) the prophets for an ensample of suffering adversity, and of long patience, which spake in the name of the Lord.
