And he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign, and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah.


The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them that do iniquity.


For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then shall he render to every man according to his work.


Verily I say to you, there are some standing here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.


A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh a sign; but there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And he left them and departed.


And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.


When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.


Jesus saith to him, Thou hast said. Moreover I say to you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right-hand of power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.


And Jesus saith to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.


And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with power and great glory.


And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man, sitting on the right-hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.


Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his soul?


For I say unto you, To every one that hath shall be given: but from him that hath not, even what he hath shall be taken away from him.


For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's and that of the holy angels.


And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.


Verily, verily I say to you, Hereafter ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of man.


We have heard out of the law, that the Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up?


And hath given him authority, to execute judgment likewise, because he is the Son of man.


And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and fearing God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned of God by an holy angel, to send for thee to his house, and to hear words from thee.


And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.


For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile.


But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world is crucified to me, and I unto the world.


For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not ye also before our Lord Jesus at his coming?


That he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness (before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ) with all his saints.


For which cause also I suffer these things: yet I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him, until that day.


The Lord give mercy to the family of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:


Therefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God, Who hath saved and called us with an holy calling,


But they now desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he hath prepared a city for them.


Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked off unto the recompence of reward.


Let us then go forth to him without the camp, bearing his reproach.


Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.


Whosoever denieth the Son, he hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son, hath the Father also.


And now, beloved children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.


He shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured unmixt into the cup of his indignation, and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone, in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.
