For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.


Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.


Saying, Sir, we remember, that impostor said while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.


And have ye not read this scripture? The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner?


But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.


Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?


And he said to them, These are the words which I spake to you, being yet with you, that all things written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms concerning me, must be fulfilled.


He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him at the last day.


Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.


This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a prince and a judge, the same did God send, to be a ruler and a deliverer, by the hand of the Angel, who appeared to him in the bush.
