Jesus saith to him, If thou desirest to be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.


Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lackest: Go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me, taking up thy cross.


Sell what ye have and give alms: provide yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.


And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness, that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.


And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing?


And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, as any one had need.


a Levite, a Cyprian by birth, Having an estate, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.


let your abundance be at this time a supply to their want; that their abundance also may be a supply to your want, that there may be an equality,


That ye may walk decently toward them that are without, and may want nothing.


Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.


Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspoted from the world.
