And Pilate having called together the chief priests, and the rulers,


Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots.


But all these things will they do to you, for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.


These things will they do, because they have not known the Father nor me.


They answered and said to him, Art thou also a Galilean?


For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, neither knowing him, nor the sayings of the prophets, which are read very sabbath-day, have fulfilled them, in condemning him.


from whom also I received letters to the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them who were there to Jerusalem to be punished.


I indeed thought myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth:


And they said to him, We have neither received letters from Judea concerning thee, nor hath any of the brethren coming hither, related or spoke any evil of thee.


Saying to Aaron, Make us gods to go before us; for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.


God hath not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture saith of Elijah? how he pleadeth with God against Israel,


Which none of the rulers of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.


But their understandings were blinded: and until this day the same veil remaineth unremoved on the reading of the old testament, which is taken away in Christ.


Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, by the ignorance that is in them, through the hardness of their hearts:


But if I am to live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour, and what I should chuse, I know not.


having put me into the ministry, Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and a reviler; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
