And found not what they might do; for all the people hung upon him to hear him.


And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.


And the hand of the Lord was with them; and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.


For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and faith. And a considerable multitude was added to the Lord.


And the Gentiles hearing it were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life, believed.


And in Iconium they went together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake that a great multitude both of the Jews and Greeks believed.


And having preached the gospel to that city, and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,


And the churches were established in the faith, and increased in number daily.


Therefore many of them believed, and of the Grecian women of considerable rank, and of the men not a few.


For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.


Then they, gladly receiving his word, were baptized; and there were added to them that day about three thousand souls.


And having threatened them again, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people; for they all glorified God for that which was done.


And the apostles gave forth their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and great grace was upon them all.


But many of them who had heard the word, believed. And the number of the men was about five thousand.


Now in these days, the disciples multiplying, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.


And the word of God grew, and the number of disciples was multiplied in Jerusalem greatly: and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.


Then the church through all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria had peace: and being built up, and walking in the fear of God, and the comfort of the Holy Ghost, was multiplied.


And he arose immediately. And all that dwelt in Lydda and Sharon saw him, and turned to the Lord.


And he that in these serveth Christ, is acceptable to God, and approved by men.


And whom he predestinated, them he also called; and whom he called, them he also justified; and whom he justified, them he also glorified.


Isaiah likewise crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant only shall be saved.


For the doctrine of the cross is indeed to them that perish foolishness; but to us who are saved, it is the power of God.
