Then said he to the multitudes,


that he may give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him.


This he spake of the Spirit, which they who believed on him were to receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.


And the believers of the circumcision, as many as came with Peter, were amazed, that the gift of the Holy Ghost was poured out on the Gentiles also.


In those days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. And one of them,


named Agabus stood up, and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine through all the world; which also came to pass under Claudius Cesar.


But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel,


And in those days I will pour out of my Spirit upon my servants and upon my handmaids, and they shall prophecy.


Being therefore exalted by the right-hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.


And he had four daughters, virgins, who were prophetesses.


And hope shameth us not, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.


to another the gift of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.


And God hath set in the church, first, apostles, secondly, prophets, thirdly, teachers: afterward miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, different kinds of tongues.


Whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds:


Your gold and silver is cankered, and the canker of them shall be a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have laid up treasure in the last days.


that there will come scoffers in the last days,
