By which he hath given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these, having escaped the corruption which is in the world thro' desire, ye may become partakers of the divine nature:


While they promise them liberty, themselves are the slaves of corruption; for by whom a man is overcome, by him he is also brought into slavery.


But these rail at all the things which they know not: and all the things which they know naturally, as the brute beasts, in these they are defiled.
