Though they intended evil against You and devised a plot, they cannot succeed.


Let the poor eat and be satisfied. Let them who seek after Him praise Adonai. May your hearts live forever!


Adonai, do not rebuke me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath.


In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell in safely; and this is His Name by which He will be called: Adonai our righteousness.


God is bringing him out of Egypt. like the strong horns of a wild ox. He devours nations hostile to him. He will crush their bones. His arrows will pierce them.


Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the emissaries, “Fellow brethren, what shall we do?”


So those who received his message were immersed, and that day about three thousand souls were added.


But many who heard the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.


Yet more than ever those trusting in the Lord were added—large numbers of men and women.


Now when they heard this, they became enraged and wanted to kill them.


The word of God kept on spreading, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem greatly multiplied; even a great number of the kohanim were becoming obedient to the faith.


When they heard these things, they became enraged and began gnashing their teeth at him.
