Arrogance yields nothing but strife. Wisdom belongs to those who take advice.


He said to them, “You shall indeed drink My cup. But to sit on My right and left, this isn’t Mine to grant. Rather, it’s for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”


But Yeshua called them over and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones play the tyrant over them.


But when Yeshua saw this, He got angry. He told them, “Let the little children come to Me! Do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.


Now when the ten heard, they started to get angry with Jacob and John.


But the synagogue leader, indignant that Yeshua had healed on Shabbat, started telling the crowd, “There are six days in which work should be done—so come to be healed on those days and not on Yom Shabbat!”


Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up,


Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with humility consider others as more important than yourselves,


But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth.


Likewise, you younger ones, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
