“In this way shall Aaron come into the Sanctuary: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.


He is to make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, for the Tent of Meeting, for the altar, for the kohanim, and for all the people of the assembly.


Then Aaron is to offer the bull for the sin offering which is for himself and make atonement for himself and his house.


Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar, and bring your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. Then present the offering for the people, and make atonement for them, as Adonai commanded.”


He has no need to offer up sacrifices day by day like those other kohanim g’dolim—first for their own sins and then for the sins of the people. For when He offered up Himself, He did this once for all.


but into the inner, once a year, the kohen gadol alone— and not without blood which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.
