“Listen carefully to my words, and let my declaration be in your ears.


Why do You hide Your face and consider me Your enemy?


Still, I desire to speak to Shaddai and to argue my case with God.


“Make then a pledge for me with You. Who else would strike hands with me?


His anger burns against me, and He considers me among His enemies.


“Though I cry out, ‘Violence!’ I get no response. I cry for help, but there is no justice.


“May my enemy be like the wicked my enemy like the unrighteous.


“I cry out to You, but You do not answer me; I stand up, but You only look at me.


Yet does not one in a heap of ruins stretch out His hand, and in his distress cry for help?


I walk about blackened, but not by the sun; I stand in the assembly and cry for help.


Surely I would carry it on my shoulder; I would bind it on me as a crown.


Look, I am the same as you before God; I too am formed from clay.


How much less when you say that you do not perceive Him that the case is before Him and you must wait for Him.


“Will the one who contends with Shaddai correct him? Let him who accuses God answer!”


Of David. Vindicate me, Adonai, for I have walked in my integrity, and trusted in Adonai without wavering.


“Make friends quickly with your opponent while you are with him on the way. Otherwise, your opponent may hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the assistant, and you will be thrown into prison.
