“Son of man, has the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’


Say now to the rebellious house, “Do you not know what these things mean?” Tell them: “Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took the king and the princes and brought them with him to Babylon.


“Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and proclaim to the sanctuaries and prophesy against the land of Israel.


So I spoke to the people in the morning and my wife died in the evening. In the morning I did just as I was commanded.


Then I said to them, “The word of Adonai came to me saying,


“When the children of your people speak to you saying, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by these?’


“Your words against Me are grievous,” says Adonai. Yet you say: “What did we say against You?”
