15 Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and pipes and all kinds of music you must fall down and worship the image that I have made. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire! Then what god will be able to deliver you out of my hands?”

Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their country out of my hand? So will Adonai deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”


Yet now, please forgive their sin. But if not, please blot me out of Your book that You have written.”


But Pharaoh said, “Who is Adonai, that I should listen to His voice and let Israel go? I do not know Adonai, and besides, I will not let Israel go.”


Whom did you taunt and blaspheme? Against whom did you raise your voice and haughtily lift up your eyes? Against the Holy One of Israel!


In response the king said to Daniel, “Surely your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and the revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this secret!”


that if you do not reveal the dream to me, there is only one verdict for you. You have conspired to say something false and fraudulent, until such a time as things might change. So then, tell me the dream and I will know that you can tell me its meaning.”


If it is so, our God whom we serve is able to save us from the furnace of blazing fire and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.


Then these men came as a throng in to the king, and said to the king: “Remember, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or edict which the king issues may be altered.”


At dawn the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den.


But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you should say, for it shall be given to you in that hour what you should say.


He trusts in God; let God rescue Him now, if He wants Him. For He said, ‘I am Ben-Elohim.’”


When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Say whatever is given to you in that hour, for it is not you who speaks but the Ruach ha-Kodesh.


And when they bring you to the synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not worry about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,


And if it bears fruit, good. But if not, cut it down.’”


But Peter and John replied, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you decide.


Peter and the emissaries replied, “We must obey God rather than men.


Watching him intently, everyone who was sitting in the Sanhedrin saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
