So the guards stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the House to the left side of the House, by the altar and the House, around the king on every side.


Then they brought out the king’s son and placed upon him the crown and the insignia. They proclaimed him king, and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him and declared, “Long live the king!”


And Jehoiada the kohen delivered to the officers of hundreds King David’s spears, shields and bucklers that were in the House of God.


Then he stood before the altar of Adonai in front of the entire congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands.


“Set the altar of burnt offering before the entrance of the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
