to deal mercifully with our fathers and to remember his holy covenant,


We are witnesses of everything he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a cross,


just as it is written in the second Psalm, ‘Yoʋ are my son; today I have begotten yoʋ.’


This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.


Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed yoʋ to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the voice coming from his mouth.


God raised up his servant Jesus and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”


He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to our sins and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
