So Moses was trained in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in words and deeds.


The night is nearly over, and the day is almost here. So let us lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.


And do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.


so that your faith would not be based on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.


Who at any time serves as a soldier while supplying his own provisions? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of its milk?


For even if I boast somewhat further about our authority (which the Lord has given us for building you up and not for tearing you down), I will not be ashamed.


The reason I am writing these things to you while I am absent is so that, when I am present, I will not need to be harsh in my use of authority, which the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.


Not that we are competent in and of ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.


But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this extraordinary power is from God and not from us.


in the word of truth, in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left,


But since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.


This charge I entrust to yoʋ, Timothy, my child, according to the prophecies once made about yoʋ, so that by them yoʋ may fight the good fight,


Endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
