I will turn my ear to a proverb; with the harp I will expound my riddle:


Why should I fear when evil days come, when wicked deceivers surround me –


for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.


Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.


He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.


In furious anger and in great wrath the Lord uprooted them from their land and thrust them into another land, as it is now.’
