Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?


It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honourable to search out matters that are too deep.


Stone is heavy and sand a burden, but a fool’s provocation is heavier than both.


We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.


For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.


I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the ‘super-apostles’, even though I am nothing.
