14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

The Lord said to Moses, ‘How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them?


Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.


He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’


When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.


‘Are you so dull?’ he asked. ‘Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them?


But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.


He said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!


So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord!’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.’


A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’


Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’


Afterwards Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way:


This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.


After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.


and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.


Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
