All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.


For this is what the Lord says: ‘I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will feed and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees.


Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.


And he will be our peace when the Assyrians invade our land and march through our fortresses. We will raise against them seven shepherds, even eight commanders,


Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honoured,’ says the Lord.


“Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?


And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,” declares the Lord, “and I will be its glory within.”


‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.’


The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.


Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.


You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.


Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.


My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favouritism.
