Then Jacob said to Laban, ‘Give me my wife. My time is completed, and I want to make love to her.’


So Jacob’s gifts went on ahead of him, but he himself spent the night in the camp.


After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions.


As she breathed her last – for she was dying – she named her son Ben-Oni. But his father named him Benjamin.


But in accordance with the command of the Lord our God, you did not encroach on any of the land of the Ammonites, neither the land along the course of the Jabbok nor that around the towns in the hills.


But to the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the territory extending from Gilead down to the Arnon Gorge (the middle of the gorge being the border) and out to the River Jabbok, which is the border of the Ammonites.
