There the wicked cease from turmoil, and there the weary are at rest.


It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.


Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.


A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.


or the one who hears it may shame you and the charge against you will stand.


Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.


As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honour.


And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive.


The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.


Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the young women love you!


How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume more than any spice!


to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure for ever.
