14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the Lord.


The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.


Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.


The Lord reigns for ever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord.


Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a sceptre of justice will be the sceptre of your kingdom.


May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.


May his name endure for ever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.


You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:


In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it – one from the house of David – one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.


For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.


For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.


Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and for ever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.


Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing-floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.


Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory;


‘In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure for ever.


Then the herald loudly proclaimed, ‘Nations and peoples of every language, this is what you are commanded to do:


How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation.


‘I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. ‘For he is the living God and he endures for ever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.


But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it for ever – yes, for ever and ever.”


Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.”


Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the Lord’s.


I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and for ever.


‘All things have been committed to me by my Father. No-one knows the Son except the Father, and no-one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.


Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.


and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants for ever; his kingdom will never end.’


‘All things have been committed to me by my Father. No-one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no-one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’


The crowd spoke up, ‘We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain for ever, so how can you say, “The Son of Man must be lifted up”? Who is this “Son of Man”?’


The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.


Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,


who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand – with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.


and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father – to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.


The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.’


They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings – and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.’


To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
