Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David.


the masons and stonecutters. They purchased timber and blocks of dressed stone for the repair of the temple of the Lord, and met all the other expenses of restoring the temple.


Make them entrust it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. And make these men pay the workers who repair the temple of the Lord –


But they need not account for the money entrusted to them, because they are honest in their dealings.’


So David gave orders to assemble the foreigners residing in Israel, and from among them he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stone for building the house of God.
