Evildoers foster rebellion against God; the messenger of death will be sent against them.


Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with rebellious officials,


Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’


‘Caesar’s,’ they replied. Then he said to them, ‘So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.’


Then Jesus said to them, ‘Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.’ And they were amazed at him.


He said to them, ‘Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.’


Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.


Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,


Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honour the emperor.


This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings;
