While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!’


But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.’


You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,


For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.’


We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.’


God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.


God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.


Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.


the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
