He takes away the heart of the chief of the people of the land, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no path.


The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be taken in the plans that they have imagined.


His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud; under his tongue are mischief and vanity.


and give to our neighbors their curse sevenfold into their bosom, the curse with which they have cursed You, O Lord.


The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but deceivers shall be taken in lust.


The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips, but the just shall come out of trouble.


A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
