Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.


to overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.


Jehovah is for me among those who help me; and I will see my desire on those who hate me.


But You, O Jehovah, are a shield for me; my glory, the One who lifts up my head.


You have given us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.


God will likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.


For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.


Behold, O God, our shield, and look on the face of Your anointed.


For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.


And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be waste, and your cities waste.


And let those in Judea flee to the mountains. And those in its midst, let them go out. And those in the open spaces, let them not go into her.

Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul carefully, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. But teach them to your sons, and your sons' sons.


And in those days men will seek death and will not find it. And they will long to die, and death will flee from them.
