And to his son I will give one tribe, so that David My servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Me, to put My name there.


How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, and their trouble comes on them! He shares out pains in His anger;


when His lamp shone on my head; I walked through darkness by His light;


To the upright there arises light in the darkness; he is gracious and full of pity and righteousness.


Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.


Only by pride comes argument, but with those who take advice is wisdom.


The ransom of a man's life is his riches, but the poor does not hear rebuke.


Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in deep darkness.


for there shall not be a hereafter to the evil; the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.


But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.


And when I put you out, I will cover the heaven and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.


Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he has no son? Therefore give us a possession among the brothers of our father.


Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.


And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps have gone out.
