Can you number the months that they fulfill? Or do you know the time for their bearing,


And the wild asses stood in the high places; they snuffed up the wind like jackals; their eyes failed because there was no grass.


saying to a tree, You are my father; and to a stone, You gave me birth. For they have turned their back to Me, and not their face; but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise and save us!


They give a gift to all harlots, but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them to come to you from all around, for your fornication.


I will go; I will return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will seek Me diligently.


For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself. Ephraim has hired lovers.
