Jehovah looked down from Heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood and sought God.


A beastly man does not know; nor does a fool understand this.


Understand, you beastly ones among the people; and fools, when will you be wise?


All those who serve graven images are ashamed, those who boast themselves in idols; all gods bow down before Him.


Surely I am more like an animal than any man, and do not have the understanding of a man.


They are turned back, they are greatly ashamed, those who trust in graven images and who say to the images, You are our gods.


Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed; and the craftsmen; they are from men. They shall assemble; all of them shall stand; they shall dread; they shall be ashamed together.


They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them; they who are makers of idols shall go into disgrace together.


I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not do you any good.


They are like a rounded post, and they cannot speak. They must surely be lifted, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them; for they cannot do evil nor good, for it is not in them.


But they are all at once foolish and animal-like; the tree is an example of vanities.


For they changed the truth of God into a lie, and they worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.


And when they arose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the earth before the ark of Jehovah. And the head of Dagon, and both the palms of his hands, were cut off upon the threshold. Only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
