They speak vanity each one with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.


To the Chief Musician. A contemplation. A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in evil, O mighty man? The mercy of God endures forever.


Yes, in heart you work the evil, you weigh the violence of your hands in the land.


Surely the sons of men are vanity; the sons of men are a lie; they go up in the scales; they are altogether lighter than vanity.


They search out injustice, saying, We have finished hiding a hidden plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are deep.


Deceit is in the heart of those who imagine evil, but to counselors of peace there is joy.


There are many purposes in a man's heart, but the counsel of Jehovah shall stand.


Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a broken piece of pottery with silver waste.


Say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Shall it prosper? Shall he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, and wither it? All the leaves of its sprouting shall wither, and not with great arm, nor by many people shall any raise it by its roots.

And he shall return to his land with great riches. And his heart shall be against the holy covenant. And he will act, and he shall return to his land.


At the time appointed he shall return and come against the south. But it shall not be as the former or as the latter.


And many of those who understand shall stumble, to refine and purge them, and to make white, to the time of the end. Because it is still for the appointed time.


And at the end-time, the king of the south shall butt at him. And the king of the north shall come against him like a tempest, with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships.


So he came near beside my place. And when he came, I was afraid and fell on my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the vision is for the time of the end.


And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall happen in the last end of the indignation. For it is for the time appointed for the end.


For the vision is still for an appointed time, but it speaks to the end, and it does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not tarry.


And He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own authority.


because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead.


But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.
