For I know him, that he will command his sons and his house after him, and they shall keep the way of Jehovah, to do justice and judgment, that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham that which He has spoken of him.


Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


And, behold, one of the synagogue rulers came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet.


While He still spoke, they came from the synagogue ruler's house, saying, Your daughter is dead; why do you still trouble the Teacher?


one devout and fearing God, with all his household, both doing many merciful deeds to the people, and praying continually to God.


who will tell you words by which you and all your house shall be saved.


And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if you have any word of comfort for the people, speak.

And after these things Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth.


And all the Greeks seized Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio did not care for any of these things.


And it happened in the time Apollos was at Corinth, Paul was passing through the higher parts to Ephesus. And finding certain disciples,
