And Jehovah also spoke of Jezebel saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.


Do not lust after her beauty in your heart; nor let her take you with her eyelids.


And, behold, there a woman met him, with the dress of a harlot and a guarded heart.


And you, O desolate one, what will you do? Though you dress with crimson, though you put on ornaments of gold, though you make your eyes large with paint, you shall make yourself beautiful in vain; your lovers will despise you; they will seek your life.


And they have even sent for men to come from far, to whom a messenger was sent. And lo, they came. You washed yourself for them, painted your eyes, and adorned yourself with ornaments,


Groan but be silent; make no mourning for the dead; tie your turban on you, and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover your lips, and do not eat the bread of men.


Of whom let not be the adorning of garments, or outward braiding of hair and wearing of gold, or of putting on clothing,
