Then indeed they departed from the presence of the sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be shamed for His name.


And not only this, but we glory in afflictions also, knowing that afflictions work out patience,


I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God given you in Jesus Christ,


even as you have recognized us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.


He comforting us in all our trouble, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in every trouble, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.


For even if I also should boast somewhat more fully of our authority (which the Lord has given us for building up, and not for pulling you down) I will not be put to shame;


I speak according to dishonor, as though we have been weak. But in whatever anyone dares (I speak foolishly), I also dare.


Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and He revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place.


Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.


For if I have boasted anything about you to him, I was not ashamed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting as to Titus became truth.


Therefore show them a proof of your love and of our boasting toward you in the presence of the churches.


And most of the brothers in the Lord, becoming confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the Word without fear.


according to my earnest expectation and hope that I shall be ashamed in nothing, but as always now Christ shall be magnified in my body with all boldness, whether it is by life or by death.


so that your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.


Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all.


who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf, and I fill up the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, on behalf of His body, which is the church;


For what is our hope or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are you not even to be in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?


But also suffering before, being insulted in Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much agony.


so much so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which you endure.


For we have great joy and consolation over your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.


My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into different kinds of temptations,
