And the disciples, as any were prospered, determined each of them to send for ministry to those brothers who lived in Judea,


Therefore dissension and not a little disputation occurring by Paul and Barnabas, they appointed Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.


And Barnabas determined to take with them John, he being called Mark.


For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.


What do you desire? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and the spirit of meekness?


For as being absent in body but present in spirit, I indeed have judged already as though I were present concerning him who worked out this thing;


And I call God as witness to my soul that in order to spare you I have not yet come to Corinth.


Therefore I write these things while absent, lest being present I may not deal sharply with you according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for pulling down.


For out of much trouble and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have more abundantly to you.


When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, hasten to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.
